But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all.

1 Corinthians 12:7

The moment you are born again you receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the gift. God doesn’t give you some thing, He gives you Himself. The Holy Spirit is God. As He lives out His life through you, you have Almighty God dwelling within you, carrying out His purposes. The Spirit will manifest Himself through your life, not for your good alone, but for the benefit of those around you.

The Bible Continues

This Easter the sequel to “The Bible” will be on TV. Is it going to get everything right? Of course not. Will it be a good thing? I absolutely think so. It is not intended to be “anti-Bible” and it’s done with respect. So, with that being the case, it will get people to talk about the New Testament, and I love that. 

Why not be ready yourself… start reading the New Testament so you can have an opinion when people ask, or maybe you can even start the conversation.

Finding The Extraordinary in the Ordinary

So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.”

Exodus 3:4

Moses was going through the routine of his day when he noticed an ordinary thing: a burning bush. Moses also noticed something extraordinary. Although the bush was burning, it was not consumed. Moses turned aside to look more closely. When the Lord saw Moses turning aside from the routine of his day, He spoke to him.

Knowing God

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

John 17:3

Knowing God through experience is radically different than knowing about God from a theology textbook. According to the Bible, you cannot say you know God unless you have experienced Him (Phil. 3:8, 10). Biblical knowledge always involves experience.
