There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,

There are many things which take the place of God in our lives, from time to time, but there is really only one God. Nothing else that ever was or ever will be is like Him. The things He can do are unparalleled. We should be asking God to reveal more of Himself to us so that we can follow Him. Worship is uniting your heart with God’s, so much so that you go out and live more like Him. Worship God today.

Restore us, O God of hosts;   

let your face shine, that we may be saved!

Revival is where people who used to know God better, have a closer walk with Him, come back to the passion of their previous relationship, and even exceed it. Every Christian should be praying for revival in their own life, in their family, in their church, and in their community as well as the world. We need revival, we always have. Send it on down Lord!

Do not remember against us our former iniquities;   

let your compassion come speedily to meet us,   

for we are brought very low.

Help us, O God of our salvation,   

for the glory of your name;

deliver us, and atone for our sins,   

for your name’s sake!

All it takes is to ask. God is a compassionate God. He wants to save you, and He wants to keep on saving you. It’s not just for your sake, it’s for His own glory. Think about how amazing God is, He can take us, US, and turn us into His bride. Trust in the Lord, follow Jesus… for his name sake.

Make haste, O God, to deliver me!   

O Lord, make haste to help me!

We cry out to God for help, this is a good thing. He wants to hear from us. We sometimes are the most honest with God when we are the most urgent. David is saying “God, help me, and do it ASAP!!!” and that’s a great prayer… as long as you realize you’re not obligating God to act how you want, only within His will. Cry out to Him today.

Shout for joy to God, all the earth;

sing the glory of his name;   

give to him glorious praise!

Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!

Everyone and everything on earth is meant to give God praise. We are commanded to sing the glory of his name. That is telling others about how great our God is. And we also say back to God how great the things are that he has done for us. Worship is for those around us to hear about God, and for us to speak back to Him as well. Worship Him today.
