West of the Jordan:
• Judah, Benjamin, Ephraim, Issachar, Zebulun, Naphtali, Asher, Simeon, Dan*
* Dan moves north and captures a new territory (Deut. 18)
East of the Jordan:
• Ruben, Gad, Manasseh (straddles the Jordan river)
• LEVI: the priests in the Temple and live off of the offerings (Deut. 18:1-2)
• JOSEPH receives a “double portion” thus Ephraim and Manasseh
