I had a great lunch at Chick-Fil-A today
To say the line was long was an understatement. But it was fun to fellowship with so many people, many of whom were from our church 🙂

I recently finished Mike Licona’s latest (and quite voluminous) book “The Resurrection of Jesus: A New Historiographical Approach”
Based on this work, I’m going to attempt to write some specific things that have informed my understanding of the resurrection of Jesus.
What is “rich?”

“Rich” is a term, like “old,” that almost always applies to someone else. Francis Bacon famously said “I will never be and old man. To me, old age is always fifteen years older than I am.”
This is part-1 of a 4-part training that I adapted from Allan Taylor of FBC Woodstock “A Passion for Teaching”

For those who know me, this is a crazy statement, and you know something is up.

I have studied biblical languages, Greek in particular, a lot. Actually, if my math is right, I’ve completed 32-hours of formal Greek instruction at Universities and Seminaries (and that doesn’t even count the classes I’ve taken more than once). That’s why it may seem shocking for me to say “don’t study Greek.”
