Most people don’t know, if they are not actively following Jesus, they are slaves to sin. They feel like they are free. They make their own choices, they live their own life. In their mind, submitting to God’s way would be restrictive, but this is an illusion.

It’s like a fish who’s mad their parents taught them not to eat the shrimp floating in the water… there’s a hook in that shrimp and you can’t survive out of the water.

Jesus is FREEDOM, follow him and be set free from sin and death. 

On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

John 7

When the water was flowing through the streets of Jerusalem Jesus stood up and said, “Come to me… I can give you the water that you seek… I can give you the Holy Spirit!”

It’s easy to be negative, critical, to complain about life…

When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had already been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be healed?”

The truth is, the cure is here. Jesus is the answer to all that life throws our way. We have no cause for frustration, for disappointment, for a critical spirit. Oh sure, every single one of us excel in these areas, and we have to constantly remind ourselves of our victory in Jesus. Imagine the Lord similar to the way he would respond to Peter “don’t you trust me? Am I not enough?”

What an amazing thing, Jesus brings healing, not only physically and permanently one day through the resurrection, but for all of life… you just have to want it. “Do you want to be healed?” Let him.
