Hi everyone, I’m Pastor John Harris. And here we are… Christmas Day. We made it. Thank you for walking with me through every Advent devotional this month. Seriously—if you stuck with this all the way to Day 25… thank you. I’m proud of you. More important—God has been at work in you.
Advent means arrival. Waiting. Longing. Leaning forward. And today… the wait is over. Jesus is here.
Our verse is Luke 2:14:
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased.”
I love this. The angels don’t show up whispering. They explode in praise. They basically shout, “Glory to God!” Why? Because when Jesus comes, worship is the only thing that makes sense. He deserves it. All of it.
And then they say, “peace on earth.” That’s not fake peace. Not shallow peace. It’s the deep kind—the kind that fills a room… fills a heart… because the Savior has stepped into our world.
So today, Christmas Day, before the gifts… before the food… before the noise… take a moment and worship. Just stop. Breathe. Say, “Jesus, thank You. You came for me.” Let gratitude rise up. Let worship come first.
And then—share peace. Let it flow into your home, your family, your church, even that relative who tests your patience every year. Bring peace into the room because Jesus brought peace into the world.
I want to say again—thank you for joining me on this journey. If you missed any of the devotionals, or you want to re-watch them, go to johnmarkharris.net and you’ll find every one from this month.
Merry Christmas.
Worship Him.
Walk in His peace.
Jesus has come.
