2Thessalonians 2:1-3 “Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him: We ask you, brothers and sisters, not to be easily upset or troubled… Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way.”

vv. 1-2: Paul addresses confusion about Christ’s return, urging calm and clarity.

vv. 3-4: The Day of the Lord follows a rebellion and the rise of the “man of lawlessness.”

vv. 5-7: Paul recalls prior teaching; a restrainer currently holds back this figure.

vv. 8-10: The lawless one will be revealed and destroyed by Christ at His coming.

vv. 11-12: God sends delusion to those who reject truth, leading to their condemnation.

vv. 13-15: Thanksgiving for their salvation; a call to hold fast to taught traditions.
