2Thessalonians 1:3 “We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, since your faith is flourishing and the love each one of you has for one another is increasing.”

vv. 1-2: Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy greet the Thessalonian church with grace and peace.

vv. 3-4: Paul praises their growing faith, increasing love, and steadfastness amid persecution.

vv. 5-7: Their endurance is evidence of God’s righteous judgment; relief will come when Jesus returns.

vv. 8-10: Christ’s return will bring vengeance on the disobedient and glory to believers.

vv. 11-12: Paul prays for their worthiness and for Christ’s glorification in them.

2 Thessalonians 1 encourages believers by affirming God’s justice, promising relief for the faithful and judgment for their persecutors at Christ’s return.
