• There are 150 Psalms, 73 of which are associated with KING DAVID

• The Psalms were arranged into a BOOK during the Babylonian Exile

• Psalms 146 – 150 all BEGIN and END with “Hallelujah”

• Most Bibles will divide the Psalms into 5 subheadings:
Chapters: 3-41; 42-72; 73-89; 90-106; 107-145

• Psalm 1 says the one who meditates on the “Torah” will be BLESSED

• Psalm 2 is a poetic reflection on 2Samuel 7 which is all about the Messianic King who would defeat EVIL and put down rebellion among the NATIONS

• Psalms 1-2 forms the INTRODUCTION to the Book of the Psalms

• Psalms is the prayer book for those who are trying to (1) follow God’s Word while they (2) await their Messianic King.
