Part 1: Ezra 1-6
• Three Key Figures in Ezra-Nehemiah
1. Zerubbabel (Ezra 1-6)
2. Ezra (Ezra 7-10)
3. Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1-7)
• Zerubbabel leads a large group of Jews to Jerusalem to REBUILD the TEMPLE
• Sixty years later Ezra goes to Jerusalem to teach the Torah (Bible) as a religious leader who REBUILDS the COMMUNITY
• This is followed by Nehemiah who returns to Jerusalem to REBUILD the WALLS, which is the city itself (decree by Artaxerxes, 457BC in Daniel 9:25)
