Deuteronomy 12-26 (Part Two)

An Overview of The Bible

Deuteronomy: Part Two
Chapters 12-26

The Torah, the Pentateuch, the Five Books of MOSES

Deut. 1:1 “These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel across the Jordan in the wilderness…”

Deut. 12:1 Be careful to follow these statutes and ordinances in the land that the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has given you to possess all the days you live on the earth.

• God’s Word is for every GENERATION

Deut 15:1 At the end of every seven years you must cancel debts.

• DEBT is the same as SLAVERY, and the Bible does not condone it

Deut 18:9 “When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not imitate the detestable customs of those nations.

• God’s people are supposed to be DIFFERENT than the world around them

• The Law gives us a lot of “COMMON SENSE”

Deut. 25:4 Do not muzzle an ox while it treads out grain.
