Titus The Man

 

• The Book of Titus is just 46 verses

• 13 references to him in the NT

• Titus was FAITHFUL

Titus 1:4 “To Titus, my true son in our common faith.”

• Same way Paul refers to Tim. (1Tim 1:2)

• Acts 15 Paul brought Titus on an important mission

Gal 2:1 “Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along also.”

• Titus was FEARLESS (i.e. COURAGEOUS)

• Acts 18 Paul spent 1½ years in Corinth with the church he planted

• Then he spent 2½ years in Ephesus

1Cor 1:11 “For it has been reported to me about you, my brothers and sisters, by members of Chloe’s people, that there is rivalry among you.”

2Cor 2:1-4 “For I wrote to you with many tears out of an extremely troubled and anguished heart—not to cause you pain, but that you should know the abundant love I have for you.”

Titus 1:5 “The reason I left you in Crete was to set right what was left undone”

Prov 25:13 “To those who send him, a trustworthy envoy is like the coolness of snow on a harvest day; he refreshes the life of his masters.”

• Titus was a FRIEND
