There are somewhere between 200,000 and 400,000 textual variants in the NT Manuscripts
5,000 Greek manuscripts, 10,000 latin, etc.
(There are over 1M quotations of the NT in the writings of the church fathers)
≈ 75% of variants are spelling/nonsense errors
1Thess 2:7

≈ 25% of variants are transposition & synonyms
John 4:1

≈ 24% of variants are meaningful but not viable
They may change meaning but can’t go back to the original, no history
No essential Christian doctrine is in question because of any variant.
