Pay special attention to the word εἰμί. It’s the verb “to be”

There are 3 “persons” 1st 2nd & 3rd, and 2 “numbers” singular & plural.

1st sl:  εἰμί  “I am”

2nd sl:  εἶ  “you are”

3rd sl:  ἐστίν  “he is”

1st pl:  ἐσμέν  “we are”

2nd pl:  ἐστέ  “y’all are”

3rd pl:  εἰσίν  “they are”

A very important form of εἰμί you will need to recognize is: ἦν  “he was”

This is actually the past tense form of 3rd sl  ἐστίν  “he is”
