Lord, you have been our dwelling place
in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth,
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
God is eternal. That doesn’t just mean He will be around forever, it means He has been forever. He does not go through time like we do, with a beginning, progression, and end… He is always in the eternal now. Before anything was, He was, and He will always be.
