Psalms 145-150

All your works shall give thanks to you, O Lord,

and all your saints shall bless you!

They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom

and tell of your power,

to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds,

and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

and your dominion endures throughout all generations.

God has done some amazing things. He created the heavens and the earth (that pretty much covers everything, by the way), and He has provided a way for us to be saved. That’s worthy of some praise. See, God’s people praise Him. It’s not that we “should” praise Him, but that if we are His, if we’ve been bought by the blood of His Son, we WILL praise Him. We tell people, we actually open our mouths and SPEAK about what it means to be part of His kingdom, to have Jesus as our King. We make known what God did by sending Jesus to die for people, that’s the gospel. And we’ll keep doing it until He returns. That’s not optional, genuine Christians tell the amazing story of Christ. If we are not compelled to do that, then we need to check to be sure He’s really living in our lives… tell someone about Jesus today, invite someone to church this week, never stop blessing the Lord and speaking of the glory of His kingdom!

About John Harris

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
