Numbers 30-31

Moses told the leaders of the Israelite tribes, “This is what the Lord has commanded: When a man makes a vow to the Lord or swears an oath to put himself under an obligation, he must not break his word; he must do whatever he has promised.

Your word is your bond, and it means something. If you agree to something, do it. People don’t need to question you, especially if you’re a Christian, if you say “yes” to something. Have you given your life to Jesus? Are you living for Him in every area of your life? Are you a member of a church? What does that mean? Do you know what your church expects of its members, or are you hoping if you don’t ask then you’re off the hook? Do what you say, say what you’ll do, then do it. People of the cross need to be people of integrity.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
