Learning, Waiting, Growing (Hebrews 5)

7 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. 8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.

We ask for things of God, and He wants us to. Jesus also cried out to God. Who can forget Jesus’ quotation of Psalm 22 “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me!?” And yet, God had not forsaken Him. Jesus’ laments in the garden and from the cross were heard by God, they were just not answered right away. Jesus had to wait 3-days to show His vindication to the world. We do must wait, sometimes days, sometimes years, yet we wait. Faith compels us to wait. Wait on the Lord, shouldn’t we trust Him?

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
