Reconciliation (2Cor 5)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore on behalf of Christ: “be reconciled to God!” For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

You’re not the same person you were when you came to know Jesus, you’re something altogether different. You WERE a sinner, now you’re a saint. This is what He did for us so we could be reconciled to Him. The separation we had from God is no longer. More than this, He has now given us this same ministry to offer this reconciliation to the rest of the world. WE are how He is setting things right with the world. WE are His ministers of reconciliation. Our message is for everyone, the good news that there doesn’t need to be a separation between them and God… He is for them, WE are for them… “BE RECONCILED TO GOD!” through Jesus Christ, He became sin for you.

About John Harris

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
