What are you looking for? (Matt 26)

Then one of the twelve, whose name was Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.

I don’t know if Judas was anti-Jesus. Maybe he believed in him at first. Perhaps he didn’t think he was getting anything from Jesus, or at least, he wanted to check his options. “what will you give me.” Why do you follow whom you follow? Why do you go to the church you attend? Is it because of what they give you? That’s a dangerous road to walk down. Follow Jesus, trust Him.

About John Harris

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
